Absorbed Glass Mat Batteries
What is AGM Technology
Absorbed Glass Mat batteries (AGM) are a sealed lead acid battery that is constructed differently than traditional flooded wet cell batteries. AGM batteries are constructed with a ultra-thin fiberglass mat that is sandwiched between the plates that ahve been saturated with a battery acid. That mat is slightly compressed between the plates, then soldered into place. This process has the plates and mats packed very tightly, which makes them somewhat immune to vibration.
AGM Battery General Purpose
General Purpose AGM batteries are valve regulated absorbent glass mat sealed lead acid batteries. The General Purpose AGM battery is maintenance free and designed for easy transportation and use and can be used in a wide variety of applications.
Deep Cycle (Electric Vehicle)
Deep Cycle AGM batteries are valve regulated absorbent glass batteries that are maintenance free batteries that are perfect for heavy discharge applications. These deep cycle batteries are designed to be discharged completely. The heavy-duty lead calcium-alloy grids in these Amstron batteries allow for superior deep discharge performance and long service life in cyclic applications like electric vehicles and wheelchairs.
Long Life
Long life series batteries are general purpose batteries with a 10 year design life time in float charge use. Like standard General Purpose batteries, these batteries are valve regulated AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) and maintenance free batteries designed for easy transportation and use.
High Discharge
High Rate Discharge AGM batteries are valve regulated sealed lead that are designed for intensive UPS backup systems. High Rate Discharge batteries are used primarily where large amounts of power is required for a short duration of time.
Gel Cell
Gel Cell batteries are valve regulated AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) sealed lead acid batteries designed for easy transportation and use. These Gel Cell batteries are designed for extreme temperatures and conditions. The heavy-duty lead calcium-alloy grids in these Amstron batteries allow for superior deep discharge performance and long service life in cyclic applications perfect for solar systems.
