Lithium Phosphate (Li3PO4) and Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries are a new rechargeable lithium technology with significant advantages over sealed lead acid batteries. Li-Fe batteries offer up to a 2000 cycle life while still retaining 80% of their original capacity, unlike SLA batteries that offer a cycle life of up to 300-500 cycles. Li-Fe batteries also feature a typical service life of up to 5~6 years, 80% lighter than conventional lead acid batteries, and can be mounted in any position as they will not spill or release gas.
